Solheim Cup: Catriona Matthew reflects on ‘best moment’ of career

“I feel this is among the biggest women sporting events on earth. Obviously the Women’s World Cup is enormous, but that – like the Ryder Cup – has increased hugely over the previous 30 years as it started. It’s such a spectacle of women’s golf. And for this to return to this last game, that last putt, you simply can’t get anything more exciting.”
Asked to describe her emotions as Pettersen was lining her up match-clinching birdie putt, Matthew added:”I really can hardly watch, really. It’s far worse watching. You in the present time and at the zone when you’re playing, and you’ve got control over things.
“But if you’re seeing, you only must faith from the participant that’s on the market, and they are all fantastic players. And I’d confidence that they were going to perform it. Nonetheless, it comes down to that last putt?
“It’s just been a fantastic week. We’ve had great performances. We had to get there although everyone remembers the putt. Thus, well done everyone.”
Matthew also paid tribute to Pettersen later she announced her retirement, adding:”On the past 15 or 20 decades, Suzann has been one of the trailblazers in European women’s golf. I think we’ve played on maybe sevenSolheim Trainers . So, she’s simply been a portion of the Solheim Cup and women’s golf.
“It is such a special time for her. If this happens to be her final minute in professional golf, might also go out at the top.”
