Shrewsbury edged a Sky Bet League One thriller as they conquer against Southend 4-3.
Goals from Omar Beckles, Jason Cummings, Ollie Norburn and Callum Lang observed the home side to victory, as Stephen McLaughlin, Simon Cox and Stephen Humphrys replied.
Shrewsbury started brightly with Ryan Giles forcing a save from goalkeeper Mark Oxley in the opening minute.
The hosts took the lead as Ethan Ebanks-Landell presented an inviting cross from the right which was turned home from close range by fellow defender Beckles.
Giles was subsequently denied by means of a post before their advantage doubled in the 27th minute as Cummings curled a shot into the bottom corner of the net against the edge of this area.
As Elvis Bwomono’s cross from the right was led in by McLaughlin, the arrears cut in just two moments.
Shrewsbury revived their advantage beyond the hour, skipper Norburn drilling home a low shot from the edge of the region, but came Southend with Humphrys on goal from 20 yards following a fast counter attack.
As Lang kept his cool to conquer 24, 4-2 moved in front in the 83rd minute.
Cox arrowed a shot from the edge of this box into the top corner of the net because the game however, Shrewsbury maintained three factors to inflict a seventh defeat.
