Liverpool have been fined #200,000 – half of which has been suspended – from the EFL last 33, for fielding an ineligible player in their third-round Carabao Cup win against MK Dons.

The EFL said #100,000 of the fine will be suspended until next seasons conclusion.
Liverpool said theyaccept the conclusion, punishment and outcome, which they described asproportionate using all the technical indiscretion dedicated.
Midfielder Chirivella needed the paperwork following a loan spell at Spanish side Extremadura past season.

In 2014, the Premier League and the EFL fined Sunderland when they fielded ineligible player Ji Dong-won in also a League Cup game and four league games.
