She could be coming for Oscar, although beyonce has 23 Grammys. She co-wrote the first tune”Spirit” for its live-action version of”The Lion King”; the song dropped on July 10 in advance of the movie’s opening on July 19. Written by Ilya Salmanzadeh and Labrinth together with Beyonce, the tune will be showcased in the movie as well as on”The Lion King: The Present,” a compilation album created and curated by Beyonce that will include the work of African artists and producers. Salmanzadeh has numerous songwriting credits for a variety of artists, including Ellie Goulding (“Love Me Like You Do”), Taylor Swift (“End Game”) and Ariana Grande (“No Tears Left to Cry,””God is a Woman”).
