American sprinter Christian Coleman has defended himself said he has”never failed a drug test and not will”.
Coleman, 23, was facing an automatic one-year ban and was charged with overlooking three medications tests.
But the US Anti-Doping Agency (Usada) withdrew the bill earlier this month after getting guidance from the World Anti-Doping Agency (Wada).
“I put my heart and spirit into field and track, and labored hard to get where I am now,” Coleman wrote on Instagram.
“It’s simply disrespectful when fake fans speculate and talk about drugs in regard to the wonderful athletes we all have in this particular sport.
“It really does nothing but maintain the sport back in the celebrity I am aware that it can reach later on.
“I should not have to defend myself but for the first and last time that I literally do not take any supplements or protein powders – nothing much legal to help with recovery”
Coleman, who conducted a world-leading period of 9.81 moments in the 100m at the Diamond League in California in June, is now free to compete at the World Athletics Championships, beginning in Doha on 28 September, along with the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
Usada had claimed Coleman had missed drugs tests on 2018, along with 16 January and 26 April in a 12-month interval leading to a ban of this year – with three missed tests.
However, as the International Standard for Testing and Tests (ISTI) says a”filing collapse” links back into the very first day of this quarter,” Coleman claimed the first of these dates must be 1 April, 2018.
“I work hard at exercise, drink water, rest, and work much harder the next day,” added Coleman.
“So, I have never failed a drug test and never . I am the greatest advocate for clean game what it takes to make it to the level and because I understand the sacrifice.
“There have been a whole great deal of wrong things mentioned from the media over the last couple of weeks; it is a shame we live in a universe where [narrative ] clicks equals money, yet people still believe everything they see.
“Enormous thank you to all my fans. Can’t wait for World Champs. Seey’all in Doha.”
