Solheim Cup moments: Anna Nordqvist fires historic hole-in-one
Anna Nordqvist will be happy to produce more Solheim Cup history at Gleneagles this past month, six years on from producing a landmark moment to assist Team Europe to success.
With Nordqvist making that ace in style in Colorado throughout the 2013 competition there has just been one hole-in-one during the 15 variations of this biennial contest.
A edge had started after the opening day but were monitoring in all four games of the Saturday foursomes, only for Nordqvist to help the people maintain their overnight advantage.
The Swede and enjoying with partner Caroline Hedwall were one down to play Morgan Pressel and Jessica Korda, but found themselves one ahead with two to play with after Nordqvist birdied the 16th.
Better was to come as Nordqvist holed her tee shot guarantee Europe stayed ahead going into the afternoon fourballs and to complete a 2 & 1 victory.
