BIG MARLEY’S UFC FIGHT NIGHT 137 DRAFT KINGS FANTASY BREAKDOWN
This weekend, we’ve got a 14-fight card in Brazil. DraftKings has some decent contests available with this Fight Night card, which can be rare for all these free ones. The principal tourney is the $8 entry and pays $20k to 1st. That is the principal GPP I will be chasing this week. As always, I’m in the 3-entry max and only entry GPPs too. But this week DraftKings has two contests for trips out to Vegas to see the McGregor vs Khabib fight. Hotel, flight, and struggles all paid for. The floor seats contest is a $33 entrance along with the non-floor seats competition is simply a $15 entry. I will need to take a few shots in that as well. Also, DraftKings just released a competition for UFC 299 that’s a $10 entry with a massive $100,000 to 1st place. That’s unquestionably the biggest prize we have ever seen in DFS MMA, so let us build a bankroll this weekend so we can shoot some additional shots at that $100k. With that said, here are a few plays I like this week in Addition to my fade of the week:
Cash Game play of this week — Livia Renata Souza ($9,600)
Livia Souza is your safest win on the card and I believe she gets this battle ended early. This is where I’m starting my cash LUs this week. Only give me the -1100 favored who is being fed an easy win , for my cash games. I really do like a great deal of the top favorites with this card, I simply would be the most shocked if Souza lost. I think she is fine in both formats, but she will most likely be chalky in GPPs, so cash games are the ideal place to get your Souza investment nowadays. Simply take this triumph, and then find 3 others and you should be useful in money games.
GPP drama of this week — Charles Oliveira ($9,400)
I’m a large Charles”Can Bronx” Oliveira enthusiast, and he’s a few of my own favorites submissions in UFC history. I think we could see another awesome one here. This fight appears to be simple to call. Do Bronx will start looking for the early takedown and when he could get it then he probably gets a 1st round sub. If that happens he should lock up a solid 100 points and I am pretty confident in that being the results of the fight, so that’s why he is my GPP drama of the week. He’s also my GPP play of this week, and not my Money play of this week for a motive. If he can not get the takedown(s) early, then he will probably stop and get finished himself with strikes. I really don’t enjoy that risk of a low floor for my money LU, so I favor Souza there. However, in GPPs I enjoy saving the $200 and moving down to Do Bronx.
Underdog drama of this week — Eryk Anders ($7,600)
I’d like Anders more if he wasn’t taking this fight on short notice, and when it wasn’t in Brazil. But he does have a clear route to victory here and that’s by knocking out Santos who does not have a great chin. Anders could also go for takedowns in this struggle and he can win with some tough GNP as well. At $7.6k he’ll almost surely wind up on the winning LU if he is able to acquire the KO. This is the major event, so he’ll have 5 rounds to work with. I do think that is a solid matchup for Anders, however he must be competitive and never hang out on the outside. When he hangs out to the exterior too long Santos will eat up him with kisses and it might be a short night for Anders. I am going to select him to get the win as an underdog in Brazil and I think he gets it completed in the first two rounds with a KO. This will easily pay off his $7.6k salary and it will win you a GPP if you can get your other five spots right also.
Fade of the week — Sam Alvey ($9,200)
Sam Alvey is a fade for me. I wrote him up as my fade of the week here, I was very wrong and he scored over 100 points. If that happens , then so be it. But I refuse to rely on an early KO win to cover off a $9.2k salary by a guy who doesn’t throw many strikes. At $9.2k I need at least 92 points from Alvey if I roster him and the only real way get gets that is using a 1st round KO win. That could happen here against a 42-year-old Lil Nog, but I am not eager to invest my money in it.
